Sustainable Ottawa respects your privacy and is obligated under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) to protect you personal information. Sustainable Ottawa adheres to all legislative requirements with respect to protecting your privacy. Through your interaction with Sustainable Ottawa, some or all of the following personal information may have been collected:

• Name, address and telephone number (business and/or personal), e-mail address
• Your occupation
• Your language preference and
• Similar information about other members of your family.

Sustainable Ottawa does not rent, sell or trade our mailing lists. The information that you provide will be used to keep you informed and up to date on the activities of Sustainable Ottawa, including programs, services, and donation opportunities. We may disclose your personal information where we are required or permitted by law to do so. By providing your information to Sustainable Ottawa, you have consented to these uses and disclosures.

Sustainable Ottawa will not disclose your membership personal information to anyone unless you specifically request or consent to the disclosure. Sustainable Ottawa may report aggregate membership information to government bodies and others for statistical purposes in a way that does not allow individual identification.

The personal information collected by the website login for SustainableOttawa.ca is processed automatically by computer and becomes your member profile. You can access all of this information, and can make corrections or changes to most of it, by clicking on the Profile link once you log on to Sustainable Ottawa as a member.

Specific membership information (that contains within the membership form) is retained off-line as long as Sustainable Ottawa exists.

To minimize the risk of identity theft, it is recommended that you use a unique username and password and keep it confidential.

By checking the "I Agree" checkbox on the membership form you are confirming that you have accessed this Privacy Notice Statement and are ready to provide your personal information in accordance with it. Once you have entered the membership form, you may cancel at any time by hitting the "Back" button and none of the information you enter to that point will be retained. You may re-enter the membership process through the "Join Us" page.
